Bladder Accumulators
Young Engineering Bladder Accumulators consist of a heavy gauge tank with an internal, nitrogen-gas-filled bladder. The Bladder Accumulator draws fluid into the tank when line pressure increases (or spikes), compressing the flexible bladder. When the line pressure equalizes, the nitrogen expands - forcing the excess fluid in the tank back into the line. Bladder accumulators are a closed-circuit design eliminating cleanup generally associated with overpressure valves.
Bladder accumulators are employed in applications such as auxiliary power, pressure compensation, thermal expansion, emergency lube oil and other fluid power processes.
All Young Engineering’s Bladder Accumulators can be designed and manufactured to fit your specifications.
