Young Engineering bladder accumulators are designed to use nitrogen as the gas in the compressible medium (bladder); a Young Engineering Bladder Accumulator consists of a heavy gauge tank with a nitrogen-filled bladder inside.  The bladder accumulator draws fluid in when the line pressure increases (or spikes); compressing the nitrogen filled bladder.  When the line pressure equalizes, the nitrogen expands -- forcing the stored fluid (in the tank) back into the line.  Bladder accumulators are closed-circuit in their design; eliminating cleanup generally associated with overpressure valves.

Bladder accumulators are employed in a variety of applications such as auxiliary power, pressure compensation, thermal expansion, emergency lube oil and other fluid power applications to fit your power applications.

All Young Engineering’s bladder accumulators can be designed and manufactured to fit your exacting specifications.
