Located in San Dimas, California, Young Engineering surge and pulsation dampening products utilize state-of-the-art designs and are constructed to stringent quality control systems. Our 35,000 square foot onsite manufacturing facility features high-tech automated machinery and welding systems which enable consistently high quality manufacturing standards to be achieved. The facility is certified by ASME to manufacture pressure vessels and is approved by the U.S. Navy, Factory Mutual (FM) and Underwriters Laboratories (UL).

Young Engineering’s team of engineers have more than ten decades of experience in the field of hydraulic transient analysis (surge analysis) and mechanical design and offer custom design as well as standard catalog surge vessels. Our ability to design surge products to specific applications is unmatched, from design to manufacturing, Young Engineering offers the ideal solution.

Young Engineering products (bladder surge vessels and pulsation dampeners) are used in a variety of applications from fire protection and fuel handling to water, sanitation and petrochemical systems.

About Winston B. Young

Winston Young founded Young Engineering in 1987. Young, a mechanical engineer, is an industry expert in the field of hydraulic transients and mechanical design.

Young credits his drive to his uncle who inspired him to study mechanical engineering, Young holds a bachelor's of science (BS) degree and a master's of science (MS) degree in mechanical engineering with an expertise in fluid mechanics.

Young Engineering's philosophy of providing a quality product at reasonable cost shows daily, with installations in industries ranging from crude oil handling to municipal water - installations where failure could prove catastrophic.
