Young Engineering Creates Video Illustrating
Bladder Sewage Surge Tank Operation
March, 2010
Young Engineering and Manufacturing, manufacturer of ASME, FM, and UL Approved surge and pulsation control products, released a customized computer generated animation showing how a Bladder Sewage Surge Tank functions and special nuances to Bladder Sewage Surge Tanks.
Bladder Sewage Surge Tanks differ in their design. They are designed specifically to handle raw sewage. A Bladder Sewage Surge Tank is precharged, compressing the bladder around a perforated column with drain slots. When surge occurs, the media flows through the perforated column into the bladder; compressing the bladder against the tank walls.
"Many municipalities understand the need for Bladder Sewage Surge Tanks." States Jeffrey McConnell, Director of Marketing and Sales for Young Engineering. "However, many don't know why Bladder Sewage Surge Tanks are the ideal solution for this need."
This video is available at http://www.youngeng.com/bladder_sewage_surge_tank_movie.html.
"We have had several of these videos available via DVD request." States McConnell, "Offering these in this media allows for the mass education on the virtues of Bladder Sewage Surge Tanks."
Young Engineering’s DVD can be ordered online at http://www.youngeng.com/dvdorder.html, it contains information on the Bladder Sewage Surge Tank as well as much more useful information regarding surge and pulse control.
